Late May

As we returned home after our Boundary Waters trip, we immediately began the unpacking and storing process.  I did 12 loads of laundry in one day!  The next day, my mom, sister and brother-in-law arrived.  The next 10 days were the absolute best time with family!!!!

I took my mom to my Love Knotters luncheon; it was heart-warming for me to see the looks on the faces of my dear friends as they greeted my mom!  (too excited to take a picture).

On Friday morning I got Mom up before 6 a.m. to go to breakfast with my friends.  Again, bright smiling faces to greet my Mom.  (too excited to take a picture).

Rusty and I had very special time with my mom for five days while Dar and Tom attended a wedding with family in Indiana.  Lots of walks, talks, sitting on the patio, just enjoying each other.

Mom took us to dinner at Billy's

I took Mom on a tour of my garden with lettuce and peas behind the rabbit fence, blooming iris and lilacs.

It was a little too early for an impressive showing of flowers at The Sunken Gardens, but we all enjoyed the beautiful evening.
Sunday evening after Dar and Tom returned from the wedding, my cousins (Mom's brother's daughters) came to visit.
The Wilczynski Clan: Di, Sally, Pearl, Dar and Terri
The Williams Clan:  Rusty, Di, Pearl, Tom and Dar

Each of us took a spin on my new toy, the TerraTryke.  It was most impressive to see Mom give it a try.

Hey, cowboy, what's happenin'?

On Monday morning, Mom, Dar and I drove to Kansas City for a Ladies Vacation.
Our arrival at Olivia's house, 5500 Wyandotte.
Olivia, our fabulous host in front of her beautiful home!

Although we spent most of our time at Olivia's, we actually boarded at a BnB near her home.  It was lovely!  Follow this link to see The 400.  I highly recommend it!  Terrific hosts and very affordable.

We had a few afternoons enjoying wine on the shaded patio.

Each morning our breakfasts were beautiful, hot and delicious.

We had tons of fun with Olivia, Felicia, and their children!
Olivia made a delicious pork chop dinner.
Felicia made Aunt Joy's rhubarb cake for dessert.

Grandma Pearl brought books for the kids.

Reece, Ruby and Pierce played in the hose.

We played music and danced----bigly!

I explained the rules of the card game Pig.

Pig was a wheee of a good time.

Reece showed off his skill in our ping pong tournament.

Dar and Mom take a moment to enjoy the rose garden in Loose Park.
Pierce (9), Ruby (6), GiGi (old) and Reece (7)

Four generations of my family!

As I write this blog three days after our trip, my heart is still bursting with love.  What great time I had with my family!
